When it comes to local wine two kinds of grapes come to mind: Primitivo and Negroamaro, but others are as important as the first two such as: Bombino Nero, used to make DOCG Castel del Monte Bombino Nero, and Nero di Troia, used to make DOCG Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Riserva. . Other grapes include Aleatico, Malavasia Nera di Lecce, Malavasia Nera di Brindisi, Susumaniello, Notardomenico e Ottavianello.
Each one of these grapes gives Apulian wine a distinctive taste that you can appreciate by joining one of our wine tastings that we organise regularly either in a wine bar, locally known as Enoteca, or in a restaurant together with a meal.
Our wine tastings will give you the chance to appreciate each chosen wine at its best, followed, on request, by a visit to local vineyards.
